About First American Nuclear (FANCO)

FANCO is an advanced fission technology and nuclear fuel-cycle company developing EAGL-1, a Generation IV fast-spectrum small modular reactor cooled by lead-bismuth eutectic (“LBEL”), the only such design under U.S. development. EAGL-1 is engineered for licensing under the NRC’s existing regulatory framework, generates 240MWe (600MWth) per unit with a footprint a fraction the size of conventional plants, and is designed to operate in a closed fuel cycle that cuts long-lived nuclear waste by more than 90%.
